What is a 3.5 mm jack to 3.5 mm jack cable used for?
Mini Jack cables are used primarily for connecting small audio devices like headphones, smartphones and various portable components to other audio devices like portable speakers or car stereos. These types of cables have become less frequently needed since the introduction of Bluetooth in most small devices, but many still prefer to use a cable over Bluetooth for its reliability and sound quality.
Are Wireworld mini jack cables compatible with all devices?
Yes, all devices that require a 3.5mm plug.
What makes Wireworld mini jack cables different from regular cables?
Wireworld mini jack cables feature the patented DNA Helix® design, which is basically flat, parallel conductors encased in ultra-quiet COMPOSILEX® insulation. This is the same design we use on our reference level cables, the result being increased clarity and dynamics even with this smallest and most lightweight cable.
What's the difference between a 3.5 mm audio jack cable and a regular aux cable?
Not much. For the most part it is a different name for the same thing. 3.5mm cable or mini jack cable is referring to the plug type. A 3.5mm plug or TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) plug is what is used to terminate a “mini jack” or “aux” cable.
What length of 3.5 mm jack to 3.5 mm jack cable should I choose?
It depends on what you intend to use it for. As with most interconnects, the shorter the wire, the clearer the signal. However, if you intend to connect a pair of headphones to a stereo across the room, you would need whatever length would accomplish that with some extra to spare. The longest Wireworld mini jack available online is 3 meters (10 feet), but all our cables are custom terminated to order, so if longer lengths are needed just contact us and we’ll make what you need.
